Winter dries hair through three vectors: low ambient humidity, hotter showers, and more time near heaters. Each step is small; the cumulative effect is brittle ends and a flaky scalp.
The fix is mostly about putting moisture back faster than it's pulled out. Pre-shampoo oiling once a week, switch to a sulphate-free shampoo, condition every wash, leave-in serum on damp ends, no blow-dry above warm setting, and a silk pillowcase if you can manage one.
