We started Lifespan because the gap between traditional Indian wellness and modern science was being filled — badly — by importers and supermarket house-brands. We wanted to fill it properly.
Our story
From a research notebook in Hyderabad to a million daily doses.
Lifespan started in 2014 with one stubborn question: why are well-tested, locally-relevant supplements still a luxury good in India? Imported brands cost a fortune; local generics couldn't be trusted. The middle ground — clinically formulated, lab-tested, honestly priced — barely existed.
Our founder, Dr. Narendra Ram Nambula, spent years studying nutrition and Ayurveda across Hyderabad, Dubai, and Europe before setting up the first Lifespan formulation in a small Genome Valley lab. The plan was modest: build the lab first, then the product.
Ten years on, we still operate that way. The lab gets new instruments before marketing gets new campaigns. Every batch goes through 120-plus quality checks before it reaches a buyer. The catalog is small on purpose — we add a product only when we can defend every line on its label.
The Lifespan you see today — bestsellers in joint care, kid's nutrition, sports protein, hair oils, pain-relief oils — is the cumulative output of that approach. The pricing reflects what it actually costs to make properly, plus a margin we feel honest about. Nothing more.

Dr. Narendra Ram Nambula
Founder, Chairman & Managing Director — Lifespan Private Limited. First-generation entrepreneur who built Lifespan from a single-room office in Hyderabad into a vertically integrated nutraceutical and personal-care manufacturer.
A career built bottom-up — from HR trainee to Chairman & Managing Director. Dr. Nambula founded Lifespan in 2015 in Hyderabad's Genome Valley, then added eight dosage formats on a single campus over the next four years: bakery, blending, liquids, tablets, capsules, semi-solids and personal-care lines under one roof. Few Indian sites run all of them together.
His thesis is unfashionable: that true preventive health requires the dull discipline of standardisation, not the romance of marketing. Hire scientists, build a lab, register with foreign regulators, then design something a busy parent can actually afford. The order matters.
Beyond Lifespan, Dr. Nambula chairs Lifespan Hospitals and Pranadhara Superspeciality Hospitals, promotes the Lifespan Pharmacy retail chain, and serves as President of the Telangana Rugby Association — five concurrent roles, one operating philosophy.

Lab-tested every batch
In-house chromatography, microbiology, and assay testing on every production lot. If a number is off-spec, the batch doesn't ship.

We sell direct, cut out aggregator margins, and pass the savings on. Premium quality without the imported-brand premium.

Our R&D, manufacturing, and quality control all run from the same site in Hyderabad's biotech corridor — so a formulation change can be tested, batched, and shipped without leaving the building.
